Incomplete merit badges keep Scouts from earning a badge and sometimes rank.
Given an opportunity to present a merit badge requirement online gives a Scout an easy chance to advance.
So, we would like to introduce Merit Badge Counselor, MBC, Night. On Sunday night starting at 7 pm a Scout may present a merit badge requirement by explaining, showing, or demonstrating. A Scoutmaster or counselor will verify the requirement has been met, then notify the Scout’s Scoutmaster.
Merit Badge Counselor Night Starts July 17th, 2022.
A Scout may either submit a requirement to present or wait till all submitted requirements are completed at the end provided there is time left. Meetings will be 40 minutes long. If you are disconnected then, please rejoin.
The Scout will announce his name and Troop number, read the requirement, then explain, show, or demonstrate it. The moderator will provide feedback and then allow other Scouts, who want to also complete that requirement, a chance to present or discuss.
The moderator will be a scoutmaster from any one of the troops in the Mountain District. When Scouts make a request in advance we will do our best to have that merit badge counselor attend the meeting.

You can learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers as you earn merit badges. There are more than 135 merit badges, and any Scout, or any qualified Venturer or Sea Scout may earn any of these at any time.
