On Saturday, April 27th the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1211 Based at the Blairsville Airport hosted Troop 101 and other troops at their Young Eagles event. This was used to meet the requirements of the Aviation Merit Badge.

The event lasted about 2 hours and had great weather. While we were there, several pilots and a doctor informed us about how planes fly and the medical requirements to become a pilot.

After this, we all went up in the air and flew around Lake Nottely and landed back after about 20 minutes. The Scouts not flying were walking around a helicopter. Overall, this event was productive and fun.
