2025 Spring Camporee

‭ Overview‬

‭ This year’s Spring Camporee will have a Video Game theme! Patrols‬
‭ will compete in video game-themed competitions in hopes of winning‬
‭ the grand prize, Roxanne.‬

‭ Events include World of Warships (canoeing), Minecraft Build-Off‬
‭ (wilderness survival), Mario Kart (buggy racing), Castlevania (hatchet‬
‭ throwing), Lethal Company (orienteering), Web Fishing (fishing), and‬
‭ Dress to Impress (costumes).‬

‭ Location: Acree Farm, 460 Pleasant Hill Rd Ellijay, Georgia‬

‭ Saturday Potluck‬
‭ Saturday night dinner will be a potluck, so be prepared to serve more‬
‭ than your troop.‬

‭ Saturday Night Campfire‬
‭ Troops may perform a skit, song, or cheer for the campfire. Scouts will‬
‭ also be able to show off their costumes in our Dress to Impress‬
‭ fashion show.‬

‭ Arrival: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.‬
‭ Cracker Barrel: 9:00 p.m.‬

‭ Flags: 8:45 a.m.‬

‭ Camporee Events Information‬

‭ Castlevania‬
‭ Castlevania is hatchet-throwing! Each scout throws 3 hatchets toward‬
‭ a target. Points are awarded based on accuracy.‬

‭ Lethal Company‬
‭ Troops will be given the direction and distance of various “scrap” and‬
‭ will use their orienteering skills to retrieve them.‬

‭ Minecraft‬
‭ Troops will build a wilderness survival shelter with the option of‬
‭ spending the night. Shelters will be judged based on creativity and‬
‭ practicality.‬

‭ Web Fishing‬
‭ Scouts and adults can spend their free time fishing at the lake. The‬
‭ biggest fish wins.‬

‭ Mario Kart‬
‭ Each Troop must create a “Flintstones-style” kart prior to arriving at‬
‭ Camporee. Each kart must hold two scouts and will be carried by the‬
‭ scouts as they “drive” around a track (see example below). Points will‬
‭ be awarded based on the results of the race and the design of the‬
‭ kart.‬

‭ Kart requirements:‬
● ‬‭ Flintstones-style karts.‬
● ‬‭ Must fit two people.‬
● ‬‭ Can be made out of any material, but it needs to be light enough‬
‭ to carry while running and durable enough that it doesn’t fall‬
‭ apart.‬
● ‬‭ Cannot pose any safety risks.‬

‭
‭ World of Warships‬
‭ Two scouts from each troop pair up in a canoe and try to throw‬
‭ “torpedoes” into each other’s canoes. Three hits and you’re out! Last‬
‭ team standing wins!‬‭ Please bring your own PFD (life‬‭ jacket) if‬
‭ possible‬‭ . We can’t guarantee that we’ll have available‬‭ PFDs. If you‬
‭ don’t bring PFDs and we can’t locate some that fit, you’ll be unable to‬
‭ participate.‬
‭ Dress to Impress‬
‭ Scouts get to show off their video game-themed costumes during the‬
‭ closing campfire. This doesn’t count towards Roxanne.‬
